Living Proof is a global business that creates shared value through Entrepreneurship, Education, and Exchange. We believe ordinary people working together can build Extraordinary Enterprises™ that end poverty, improve lives, and strengthen economies. Such has been our experience since we began helping artisans, remote agriculturalist, and small informal businesses in the developing world access new markets for global trade and commerce.
We have evolved from an organization that only provided market access to one that now makes impact investments, awards scholarships, and conducts exchanges to strengthen our entrepreneur’s ability to improve locally owned economies by having open access to global supplies chains, trade and commerce. Our Entrepreneurship, Education and Exchange (EEE) focuses investments on base of pyramid (BOP) small and medium enterprise (SME) entrepreneurs, their education, and professional exchanges that strengthen their businesses ability to improve their communities. We focus on BOP SMEs because they are the foundation of stable, healthy, local economies through their goods, services and jobs produced.
As economic growth and development increase in Africa, Asia, and Latin America, SMEs not only need support to access historical export regions of Europe and North America, they also need support to increase trade amongst their respective regions. Most importantly, they also need to strengthen their innovative capacity to address the common socio-economic challenges related to job creation, environment, natural resource management, public health, and energy.

The Living Proof was founded by Nusaiba Abdus-Salaam Jackson, a woman entrepreneur whose vision for community, compassion, and commerce was rooted in her family experience. At the heart of the Living Proof mission of Educating Entrepreneurs via Exchange stands is Nusaiba’s mother, Dr. Yvonne Washington-Turay, DNP, a leader whose life embodies the very spirit of Living proof — that through faith, perseverance, and service, transformation is possible.
Faith & Family Legacy
A native New Yorker, Dr. Washington-Turay is a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her life’s journey is anchored in faith and fueled by a passion to serve others. Her example as a mother, mentor, and spiritual leader continues to inspire her family and all who encounter her story. Yvonne has been a entrepreneur since her early childhood days of working to support her large extended family to even being a street vendor to support her 5 children as single mother.
Service & Leadership
A proud Veteran of the United States Air Force, Dr. Washington-Turay has carried the values of courage, discipline, and integrity from her military service into every area of her life.
In 2000, she founded God’s House International, launching her first healthcare mission to Sierra Leone during the country’s civil conflict. For more than twenty-five years, she has led medical missions, educational programs, and humanitarian outreach across the United States and abroad.
In 2006, she was ordained through IGC of St. Thomas, and in 2020, she was called to Apostleship, officially establishing God’s House International Church. Her apostolic leadership continues to empower lives through teaching, mentorship, and community transformation.

Dr. Washington-Turay is a Doctor of Nursing Practice and Addiction Specialist, combining medical expertise with a heart for ministry. Her work bridges faith, healing, and education, bringing holistic restoration to individuals and families. She embodies the belief that physical and spiritual wellness go hand-in-hand — a message that resonates deeply with the mission of the Living Proof.

As Executive Director, Dr. Washington-Turay leads with compassion, strength, and faith. She continues to guide the Living Proof’s initiatives in health, education, and community empowerment; ensuring that its work reflects the principles of service, compassion, and progress to bridge socio-economic gaps at home and abroad. Under her direction, the Living Proof stands as a beacon of transformation — a testament that faith in action truly changes lives. We promised Nusaiba to continue her work in global trade and expanding opportunities for marginalized groups.
