Lila John’s coconut utensils are made from 100 percent recycled materials. They can be found in small and medium size business in India, New York, and Brasil. They will soon be available in large grocery stores in the United States Europe and in various outlets in Africa.

Andhyodaya Founder and LP board member Peter Thettayil has played an essential role in expanding the LP Asia-Africa partnership. Bangladesh is the world’s second-largest apparel exporter of western brands.
Living Proof recently negotiated key partnerships our garment industry partners throughout Asia to support the growing fair trade textile industry. Factory compliant owners were keen to support our initiative to promote the positive benefits of the garment industry.
In Bangladesh, Living Proof met with factory owners, employees, and government officials to ensure we incorporate best practices into our fair trade garment business. We’re partnering with fair trade compliant factories to supply high quality apparels to wholesale and retail outlets.

Jupiter Café is one of our partners in the heart of The Bronx, with whom we provide technical and on the job training in coffee supply chain, herbs, and tea, and now marijuana after its legalization in the state of New York. Creating job opportunity and developing leadership in a up and coming community that has been most affected historically by the previously marijuana laws. Putting into practice our business and education experience Living Proof and Jupiter Café train local youth in the coffee, tea, and marijuana businesses and prepare them to run their own entrepreneurial endeavors.

Bronx Students Scholarship

Living Proof awarded scholarships to two Bronx students: Kareemot Siyanabola and Nabila Abdulkarim, in honor of Mary Blossom Washington, a simple woman and Bronx resident who was a migrant to New York and never had any education but valued education so much she worked any job she could to ensure her kids had the best education possible.

 

The dedication of the winners to their academics, their community, and the development of their unique talents has identified them as someone who would thrive in our family of learners. Built upon a foundation of integrity, creativity, and openness to the exploration of new ideas, our institution is only as strong as the imagination and character of the students we support.

Scholarships

Education lays a foundation for sustained economic growth as it is a key tool for reducing poverty. The Living Proof of Scholarship provides underprivileged students around the world with the resources they need to pursue their teaching goals and become successful global citizens. The Scholarships program consists of financial support, potential business plan funding, and a community service component to expand Proof’s Viva work.

Living Proof awards scholarships and scholarships to students committed to community development through Entrepreneurship, Education and Exchange. Students around the world build strategic networks and partners in important initiatives to gain career-related educational experience, serve as point mentors, and as Living Proof Ambassadors in our target communities.

 

Fellows advance the mission of Living Proof through monetary or in-kind service contributions to our Entrepreneurship, Education and exchange programs. Scholars must maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA, be high performing and committed to our core values. Students are enrolled less than half-time in school, undergraduate or postgraduate courses at accredited educational institutions.
